The e-services TIN Matching product enables you to verify a TIN and Name combination. You can accomplish this interactively and receive an instant response for requests of 25 matches or fewer or by Bulk file upload for requests of 100,000 or fewer within 24 hours.

In order to ensure that only authorized users can verify a TIN and Name combination, a TIN Matching Application must be completed before you can use the TIN Matching product. e-services TIN Matching is only available to Authorized Payers, firms who withhold and make specified payments to the IRS.

When completing an application to use TIN Matching, your firm will be identified by its Employer Identification Number (EIN). If your firm is not listed on the IRS Payer Account File you will not be able to complete the TIN Matching Application.
